General discussion about BabaCAD / Cannot import file to another programme

Hi
I can import simple files from the saved dxf to another programme (to turn it into a svg for laser cutting) but when it gets more complicated (I think when I've used the array function, I get this error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "dxf_input.py", line 477, in <module>
    layer = layer_nodes[vals[groups['8']][0]]
KeyError: u'Sheet'

Then it won't load

Anyone know if this is a fault with the array function? I see arrayed elements don't undo on the undo function either!

I can only seem to print to the windows default printer. Am I missing the option to choose which printer to use?

OK, not what I really wanted, but it is a work around.
When you've pasted a number of different objects, say a number of different sized kitchen units in a line, there is no single line or polyline to measure. Drawing a line for the total distance confirms the measurement and is a work around, but in autocad and draughtsight they have a tape measure, just click on the two furthest corners and get a distance.

Ok thanks. I was trying to do it on a rectangle and as it wasn't on the OSNAP dropdown assumed it didn't exist.

Is there a measure command or tape measure?
I realise you can always put a dimension on something then delete it, but I was looking for a quicker way to check the length of something?

I'm now assuming that's out of date.
I have three rectangles, inside each of them I have a drawing, /=I want to print each one; how do I specify the rectangle as a layout?

Plotting / printing

There are three commands for managing plotting / printing:

menu option File -> Plot plots/prints chosen Layout to the ploter/printer

menu option File -> Plot Preview View on output before plotting/printing

menu option File -> Plot Setup Settings of plotting/printing

New user, sure I'm missing something obvious, but I can't see the main menu (File, Edit, View ect.)
I have the quick access toolbar and the ribbon with a few icons on it and the model screen and layout tab with the command window at the bottom.
